Neil McVicar
Neil knows that business owners face many challenges in their business, and that they often struggle to achieve the right balance in their work and personal life.
He knows that without that balance, business owners can end up working long hours (often for little return) and miss out on having a personal life or spending time with their family. Alternatively, their business can suffer if they can’t give it the attention it requires.
Consequently, Neil’s coaching philosophy is to work with business owners to help them get the balance they need to achieve business success and realise their personal goals.
So while the primary focus for Neil’s coaching is on business success, you will also find yourself being reminded that your goals include things other than profit and wealth. Neil will work closely with you to develop business strategies and design a coaching program which reflects this.
Using a proven process of audit, plan and action, Neil will help you implement strategies which deliver real results such as business growth, improved profit, high performing staff, increased sales, and effective business systems.
However, he also finds ways to help business owners improve their effectiveness and discipline, and to build the skills they need to achieve their business and personal goals. Coaches know that even very capable business owners will avoid the tasks they don’t like. Neil believes his job as your coach is to help you do those things you know you need to be doing but aren’t.
Neil has a degree in Economics (with a major in accounting) and is convinced economics wasn’t as complex back then. He has the experience of 25 years in senior management positions with the Australian Government and runs his own small business.
Neil’s strengths are in strategic thinking, business planning, business systems design, customer service and people management. Neil rates highly his ability to stay focused on achieving results.
Neil moved with his wife and three children to Coffs Harbour 12 years ago to find the work/life balance they now enjoy. He is committed to the small business community, and is involved with a number of local sporting clubs and community organisations.
