Doing business as fast as you can.
Here at Small Fish, things are moving very
quickly, lots of changes, lots of excitement and lots of problems to solve.
Expect some announcements from us soon. In
the meantime, our situation here has made me think of how it is in business for
many of us. I keep experiencing it with my clients. Our business world is full
of problems, spot fires, oportunities and work to do. The more we do and the
harder we work, there more there seems to be to do and the harder we have to
work.
I know it sometimes feels like it is out of
control.
I think this is normal. Everyone I meet
whose business is growing or trying new things is confronted with this feeling.
Don’t let it bother you and don’t let it get you down.
It’s OK to be confronted with an
overwhelming mass of important work. It’s also OK to not get through it all.
Let’s accept the difficult truth – that
it’s all we can do to make headway, to pick the most important tasks and get some
of them done.
Don’t let
it be in charge!
