WTF is this Circle of Coaching?

It is a simple flow of the work of making your business better.

You decide what to do, you learn how to do it, and then of course, you go ahead, and do it.

All very simple, right?

But because this is business coaching, not business training or business education, the doing it part is a very big focus for me and in my coaching program, as it should be for you too.

Of course, a good chunk of my program, my (and the other coaches’) efforts and our focus goes into helping you make sure you actually do the things – get the work done.

So back to my drawing for a minute.

The process goes like this; we decide what to do then we learn how to do it. (if you already know how to do it that’s a bonus – all you need to do then is implement it.)

Some of the things you’ll know how to do already and just need the push or a hand in planning, then off you’ll go.

Some of the things that you don’t know, you’ll have to learn how to do (understand this flow now?)

Once you’ve learnt the required skills or things you need to make changes what do you do?

Well, you go off and do it. Implement the new things to help your business grow, change and progress.

Until you do it, actually do it you won’t see any changes in your business. This, of course, is why you buy business coaching to get someone to help you make these changes, to give you the tools to do so.

So once it’s done, you start the process again – you figure out what you need to do next then you do it.

You see the spiral in the drawing above – this is your business getting bigger. And every time you do something you change your business, you improve your business, which is the point of doing that work, of course.

So your business becomes bigger and more profitable and more efficient and more effective and more enjoyable, hence the ever-expanding circles.

My coaching follows this process.

And you do a strategy session in a strategy workshop to help you decide what to do.

You’ll apply my framework – the Triangle Model – the machines you need to build in your business. You’ll then use that to create a strategy based on your goals, prioritising what you need to do first.

Our program includes training videos and worksheets. And coaching of course. If there’s something you don’t understand or that doesn’t seem to work or fit for your business or your situation you come and get help.

And that’s a circular process as well.

You can go around and around until you’re happy.

You use our library of resources. If you struggle or procrastinate, or find it otherwise difficult, the coaching helps this coaching here.

Put your hand up and ask for help.

That’s my request to you.

If you don’t put your hand up, I’ll be asking you.

Or somebody will be asking you – how it went and holding you accountable for the fact that you got stuck. And once it is fixed and installed you go back to the beginning (and I use the word installed, deliberately).

Once you’ve installed the thing and it works consistently, you move on and decide what you need to do next. Having it installed so it is a constant in the business is very important.

So, business coaching has a few elements for you to consider – to help you do the things that will give you the business you want.

What does this business look like?

The benchmark – is a wage for you plus 10% net profit margin and a 40-hour week, plus holidays. So a normal working week and happy people in their jobs doing a good job and enjoying it here.

Now this is the strategy.

You’ll use the triangle model. You’ll build a strategy specific to your business and to your goals and then you’ll use that to decide what you do next – what you do first and then what you do after that.

So you’ve got a framework, right? Deciding what to do next doesn’t come out of the blue. You’ve got a framework to refer to. You’ve got training videos and you’ve got coaching and support. To help you do all these things, to help you through these processes.

The process of deciding what to do next, dealing with the things you need to deal with along the way, the things that come up.

We coach in groups and in one on one to help you decide what to do next, to help you when you’re stuck, to help you when you’re pissed off (which you will be), to help you get perspective when you’re frustrated, to kick your a*$ when you need that, (because we all need that from time to time, don’t we?), and to cheer you on when you need that as well.
